GC39-10

The GC gas cooler platform pairs a removable straight-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Dimensionally it is a 3-inch shell unit, 111-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 1000°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes industrial gas conditioning, process gas cooling, and compressor discharge gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams. The resulting model number is GC39-10.
