GC33-10

The GC gas cooler platform pairs a removable straight-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Its envelope centers on a 3-inch diameter shell, 39-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as GC33-10. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are industrial gas conditioning, process gas cooling, and compressor discharge gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
