GC125-168

Configured for water-cooled gas cooling, GC125-168 carries the removable straight-tube bundle construction that defines the GC gas cooler range. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. The configuration measures 12 inches across the shell, 63-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are industrial gas conditioning, compressor discharge gas cooling, and blower and vapor cooling duty. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
