Built around a removable straight-tube bundle, this configuration delivers water-cooled gas cooling for demanding service. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 123-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 1000°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes blower and vapor cooling duty, industrial gas conditioning, and process gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams. The resulting model number is GC1010-160.
