A removable straight-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of GC gas cooler equipment in water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 63-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are blower and vapor cooling duty, compressor discharge gas cooling, and process gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams. The resulting model number is 5-153-10-063-006.
