Its envelope centers on a 6-inch diameter shell, 63-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 1000°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes compressor discharge gas cooling, process gas cooling, and industrial gas conditioning. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
