Dimensionally it is a 3-inch shell unit, 111-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 1000°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in process gas cooling, compressor discharge gas cooling, and blower and vapor cooling duty. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
