5-153-03-063-001 is a GC gas cooler unit built on a removable straight-tube bundle for water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. The configuration measures 3 inches across the shell, 63-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 1000°F maximum temperature. Installations range across compressor discharge gas cooling, blower and vapor cooling duty, and process gas cooling. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
