Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n ACFR-668 as shown on this page.
For compressed air aftercooling, the ACFR aftercooler line offers a fixed-tubesheet bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. Physically, the unit runs a 6-5/8-inch shell, 50-inch shell length, and roughly 50 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 18 square feet of heat transfer surface on 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated ACFR-668. The series sees regular use in moisture and oil removal from plant air, small and mid-size compressor packages, and instrument and shop air conditioning.
