Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n ACFR-10389 as shown on this page.
For compressed air aftercooling, the ACFR aftercooler line offers a fixed-tubesheet bundle design; ACFR-10389 sits within that range. Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. The configuration measures 10-3/4 inches across the shell, 50-inch shell length, and roughly 50 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 103.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in instrument and shop air conditioning, moisture and oil removal from plant air, and small and mid-size compressor packages.
