ACF-1060

The ACFR aftercooler platform pairs a fixed-tubesheet bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to compressed air aftercooling. Compressed air passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the tube interiors clean easily from either end. Shell dimensions vary by size within this configuration in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated ACF-1060. The series sees regular use in moisture and oil removal from plant air, compressor discharge aftercooling, and small and mid-size compressor packages.
