ACA46-26

ACA46-26 is a ACA aftercooler unit built on a removable straight-tube bundle for compressed air aftercooling. Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. The configuration measures 4 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are moisture and oil removal from plant air, compressed air dryer pre-cooling, and compressor discharge aftercooling. A floating rear tubesheet lets the bundle expand freely and pull for cleaning, and full-size air connections hold pressure drop down.
