Configured for compressed air aftercooling, this configuration carries the removable straight-tube bundle construction that defines the ACA aftercooler range. Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. The configuration measures 3 inches across the shell, 48-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes compressor discharge aftercooling, pneumatic tool and instrument air conditioning, and compressed air dryer pre-cooling. A floating rear tubesheet lets the bundle expand freely and pull for cleaning, and full-size air connections hold pressure drop down. The resulting model number is ACA34-20.
