Configured for compressed air aftercooling, this configuration carries the removable straight-tube bundle construction that defines the ACA aftercooler range. Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 108-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-155-10-111-002. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes compressor discharge aftercooling, pneumatic tool and instrument air conditioning, and compressed air dryer pre-cooling. A floating rear tubesheet lets the bundle expand freely and pull for cleaning, and full-size air connections hold pressure drop down.
