Built around a removable straight-tube bundle, 5-155-03-051-001 delivers compressed air aftercooling for demanding service. Hot compressed air enters the tubes while cooling water counterflows through the shell, condensing moisture for removal downstream. The configuration measures 3 inches across the shell, 48-inch shell length in a 1-pass arrangement. It carries 1/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in pneumatic tool and instrument air conditioning, compressor discharge aftercooling, and compressed air dryer pre-cooling. A floating rear tubesheet lets the bundle expand freely and pull for cleaning, and full-size air connections hold pressure drop down.
