TCW-1448

TCW-1448 is a TCS/TCW tank heater unit built on a two-pass U-bend bundle for in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 14-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 49-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 116 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes process tank heating, hydronic-fed storage systems, and hot water storage tanks.
