TCW-1030

Built around a two-pass U-bend bundle, this configuration delivers in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes for demanding service. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 30-inch shell length, and roughly 29-3/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 34.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated TCW-1030.
