Configured for in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes, this configuration carries the two-pass U-bend bundle construction that defines the TCS/TCW tank heater range. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 8 inches across the shell, and roughly 82-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic-fed storage systems, domestic water storage heating, and process tank heating. This build is designated 5-276-08-084-001.
