The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 12 inches across the shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 120-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 212 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets.
