Built around a two-pass U-bend bundle, 5-275-08-048-001 delivers in-tank heating with boiler water in the tubes for demanding service. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, and roughly 46-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 32 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are process tank heating, hydronic-fed storage systems, and domestic water storage heating.
