Built around a two-pass U-bend bundle, this configuration delivers in-tank heating with steam in the tubes for demanding service. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 14-inch shell unit, 66-inch shell length, and roughly 67-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 161 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as TCS-1466. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
