The TCS/TCW tank heater platform pairs a two-pass U-bend bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to in-tank heating with steam in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 95-3/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 116 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as TCS-1096. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
