The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Its envelope centers on a 8-inch diameter shell, and roughly 82-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hot water storage tanks, process tank heating, and wash-down and sanitation water storage.
