Configured for in-tank heating with steam in the tubes, 5-271-06-084-002 carries the two-pass U-bend bundle construction that defines the TCS/TCW tank heater range. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, and roughly 81-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 31.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in boiler feed and condensate tanks, hot water storage tanks, and process tank heating.
