A two-pass U-bend bundle gives 5-271-04-096-002 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of TCS/TCW tank heater equipment in in-tank heating with steam in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Physically, the unit runs a 4-inch shell, and roughly 95-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 18.6 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across hot water storage tanks, boiler feed and condensate tanks, and wash-down and sanitation water storage.
