For in-tank heating with steam in the tubes, the TCS/TCW tank heater line offers a two-pass U-bend bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 4 inches across the shell, and roughly 59-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 11.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
