5-270-14-042-001 is a TCS/TCW tank heater unit built on a two-pass U-bend bundle for in-tank heating with steam in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Its envelope centers on a 14-inch diameter shell, 42-inch shell length, and roughly 43-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 102 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hot water storage tanks, process tank heating, and boiler feed and condensate tanks.
