The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, and roughly 40-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 27 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
