The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. The configuration measures 6 inches across the shell, and roughly 69-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 26.8 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes hot water storage tanks, wash-down and sanitation water storage, and process tank heating.
