5-270-04-054-001 is a TCS/TCW tank heater unit built on a two-pass U-bend bundle for in-tank heating with steam in the tubes. The bundle mounts through a collar in the tank wall and heats the surrounding fluid by natural convection. Dimensionally it is a 4-inch shell unit, and roughly 53-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 10.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in boiler feed and condensate tanks, process tank heating, and hot water storage tanks.
