The Diamondback tank heater platform pairs a double-wall two-pass U-bend bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to in-tank heating with steam in the tubes and cross-contamination protection. The vented air gap between tube walls gives a visible telltale leak rather than allowing tank contents and steam to mix. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, and copper (double wall) tubes. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in potable water storage tanks, domestic hot water storage under double-wall codes, and food-grade process tanks. This build is designated 5-272-08-084-001.
