Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 6-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 64-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 22.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, instantaneous domestic water heating, and building comfort heating. This build is designated SU65-4.
