Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 4 inches across the shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.19 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU44-2. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
