SU305-6

A removable U-tube bundle gives SU305-6 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 30-inch shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 86-11/16 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 639 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes building comfort heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
