For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 28-inch shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 135-3/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 1088 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU289-4. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, instantaneous domestic water heating, and building comfort heating.
