Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 26-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 124-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 823 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU267-2. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
