SU249-4

SU249-4 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 24-inch diameter shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 139-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 853 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and building comfort heating.
