Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 24-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 113-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 632 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies steel bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are building comfort heating, swimming pool heating, and radiant panel and snow-melt converters. This build is designated SU247-6.
