SU223-6

Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 22-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 62-7/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 228 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU223-6. Installations range across radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
