SU208-4

SU208-4 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 20-inch shell unit, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 109-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 502 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
