Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 20-inch shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 133-3/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 586 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are N/A on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. Typical duty includes building comfort heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and swimming pool heating. This build is designated SU2010-6.
