Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 18-inch shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 132-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 483 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU1810-2. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across instantaneous domestic water heating, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating.
