SU126-4

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 77-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 119 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU126-4. Installations range across swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and building comfort heating.
