Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n SU125-2 as shown on this page.
Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 12 inches across the shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 66-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 104 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU125-2. The series sees regular use in radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
