For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 80 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU107-6. Common applications are radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
