SU106-4

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 77 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 82 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU106-4. Installations range across instantaneous domestic water heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and building comfort heating.
