Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 18-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 60-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 195 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in swimming pool heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and building comfort heating.
