Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 16-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 81-5/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 217 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in swimming pool heating, building comfort heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
