A removable U-tube bundle gives 5-261-14-048-005 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 14-inch diameter shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 56-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 111 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and N/A maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in building comfort heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
