Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 12-inch diameter shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 101-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 160 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
